ROUTESETTING TEAM
Trent Hoover (Owner, Head Setter)
25 years of setting experience
With decades of setting experience in gyms across Western Canada, I’ve seen this sport change in ways that we scarcely imagined. The constant evolution of setting culture is exciting, and I’m as thrilled as ever to bring intriguing, innovative, and aesthetic problems and routes to the climbing community. (Inspiration: World Cup Bouldering!)
Alissa Kuhn (Owner, Setter)
3 years of setting experience
Alissa brings a thoughtful approach to setting and competition management, and is always excited to challenge climbers in new ways. (Inspiration: Non-linear sequences and sandstone bouldering!)
Brayden Baines (Setter)
7 years of setting experience
With broad experiences in outdoor climbing as well as setting in bouldering and roped-climbing venues, Brayden brings an analytical approach to routesetting and customer management. (Inspiration: Finding sequences where climbers must stay in balance or fall off… and coffee!)
Dave Trudel (Setter)
5 years of setting experience
Dave firmly believes that “the best climber is the one having the most fun!”, and his setting philosophy reflects this belief as he provides a dynamic yet intricate style of routesetting. (Inspiration: Granite, big walls, and big lockoffs!)
